Hugh McCarthy & Associates is leading audit and accountancy firm in Ireland. We believe graduates are fundamental to sustaining the growth and development of our firm and therefore we offer much more than just a qualification. Our Graduate Trainee Programme puts the emphasis on career progression, training and your personal development.

 

You get a hands-on role, working with clients from the start, and the experience is varied and challenging with many of our trainees progressing within the firm or gaining employment in industry. We offer graduates the opportunity to work across a broad range of business sectors, from family-run businesses to international companies.

How it Works

Our three-year Graduate Trainee Programmes takes place in our offices in Dublin. The package includes:

  • Annual leave and study leave
  • Mentor support
  • Technical and soft skills training
  • Financial support for attainment of your chartered accountancy professional qualification

Support Staff

Our Graduate Trainee Programme has the following entry requirements:

  • A minimum 2.1 degree in accountancy, finance or business (with core module in accountancy)
  • Applications are also welcome from students who have attained a 2.1 degree and who are pursuing the Professional Diploma in Accounting

While strong academic credentials are important, we look for motivated and ambitious graduates who can demonstrate an interest in the following:
